Dance Workshops
Every Thursday 1.00pm – 3.30pm at Chapel Gallery, Ormskirk
“Nobody cares if you can’t dance well. Just get up and dance. Great dancers are great because of their passion.”
― Martha Graham
The Dance workshop was formed in March 2016 and in its first year the students have achieved a great deal. The classes are set in a fun environment where each student is encouraged to explore and express their creative skills developing new dances for performance. The students have worked hard to develop their own movement skills and have grown in confidence tremendously. The group is made up of adults with learning disabilities, support workers and volunteers.
We often go to the park in Ormskirk to perform and members of the public often stop and join in. We have so much fun. In 2016 the group choreographed a flashmob for public performance to help promote the event “Celebrate Skelmersdale” and in 2017 the group are showcasing their latest work at Ormskirk Dance festival on 25th June.
